Abstract
|
|
|
Objective: The aim of this study was to identify the Activity Card Sort(ACS) that are participatory and central to the elderly in multiple countries.
Methods: Data were collected from a total of 10 ACS and the activities on the ACS were compared and analyzed for each country.
Results: total of 134 activities were extracted from the 10 countries, and nine central activities were identified from this list after considering cultural differences. The identified activity items included shopping, grocery shopping, washing dishes, relaxing, reading newspapers, watching television, sitting down, eating out, and separating.
Conclusion: The findings could potentially be used as baseline data for the development of local community participation assessment tools for older adults.
